Samantha Iachello (Spring Semester)
Sam is a 1L at Michigan State University College of Law. Prior to law school, she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Bachelor’s degree in Women’s Studies from the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida. Currently, Sam is a member of the Michigan State University College of Law's Progressive Legal Society, Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity and the Student Bar Association. She is interested in criminal law, with a focus on domestic violence and is excited to obtain further experience in those interests, as well as the many other areas of law covered by Student Legal Services. |
Shivani Patel (Fall Semester)
Shivani is a 3L at Michigan State University College of Law. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Law, with a minor in Psychology, from Arizona State University and was a co-founder of a competitive Bollywood Fusion dance team. Currently, she is a member of the Women’s Law Caucus, Sports and Entertainment Law Society, and Intellectual Property Law Society in law school. Throughout her internships, she has had the opportunity to experience criminal defense matters, real estate cases, family law complexities, and the Arizona Court of Appeals process. Shivani has multiple areas of interest in the law and is excited to see where opportunities take her after law school. |
Savannah Coomer (Fall Semester)
Savannah is a 2L at Michigan State University College of Law. Prior to law school, Savannah earned her Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Michigan-Flint. At Michigan State, Savannah is a member of the Women's Law Caucus, Phi Alpha Delta, IP Law Society, and the Sports and Entertainment Law Society. As a rising 2L, Savannah spent her summer interning for the Honorable Rosemarie Aquilina, before joining Student Legal Services in the Fall. |

Danielle Jones (Fall Semester)
Danielle is a 2L at the Michigan State University College of Law. Prior to law school, Danielle earned her bachelor’s degree in Criminology with a minor in Psychology at Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida. At Michigan State, Danielle is a member of the Women’s Law Caucus and serves as its Events Coordinator. She is the Law School Liaison to the Council of Graduate Students where she is a member of its Executive Board and also serves as the Graduate Liaison to the Student Bar Association. Her internships have focused on client advocacy and litigation, examining the effects of criminal proceedings on victims. Her study interests include domestic violence, victim services, and the effect of the criminal justice system on young adults. |
Tyler Silvestri (Fall & Spring Semester)
Tyler is a 2L at Michigan State University College of Law. After graduation, he intends to become a public defender. He also served as Vice Chair of the University Committee on Academic Governance. Tyler obtained his bachelor’s degree in Political Theory & Constitutional Democracy from Michigan State University in 2017, and he spent one year as the Assistant Director of ASMSU’s Student Rights Advocates. |
